About Me
My Mission
To share with you my experience of studying in Japan on a MEXT scholarship:
The Japanese government offers to international students who would like to further their studies in Japan the possibility of applying for a full scholarship. The selection of the candidates for the undergraduate and graduate programs takes place annually, usually between April-August, depending on each country.
However, this procedure is a time consuming and a challenging process for many students. It takes almost one year from the moment the application begins and until successful nominees are on the plane and on their way to Japan.
A few years ago, there was not much knowledge about preparing for this contest. Nowadays, there is perhaps too much information that can seldom be misleading or unclear. Therefore, I wrote some books clearly describing the step by step process of applying for the MEXT scholarship. Moreover, I have prepared for you some math books that will help you better prepare for the MEXT math exam.
To encourage you to follow your dream:
Every year more than 100,000 international students apply for the MEXT scholarships, and only about 9,000 obtain it. It means only 9 out of 100 students succeed. The number of grants awarded depends entirely on the budget the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT) allocates each year. Consequently, competition is intense as students prepare themselves better and better. I had a two-year preparation plan before submitting my application file to the Japanese Embassy.
By reading my books, you will get more ideas about where to start, and also have a competitive edge which will give you a head start. You will be more confident and have fewer surprises during your application. I am here to tell you that others succeeded and so can you. Studying in Japan on a MEXT scholarship is a dream that with enough effort on your side, you can achieve as well.
To share with you my love for Japan:
Fulfilling my dream of studying in Japan on a MEXT scholarship was the best experience I have ever had. My admiration for Japan only grew stronger as I began travelling and experiencing first-hand the Japanese culture. Japanese people are kind and thoughtful. They were always friendly to me, and I am happy to have made many wonderful friends.
I hope to bring you a bit of the positive feeling I had during my experience in Japan. Also, I am always looking forward to connecting with you either through my Facebook page or the contact page. Whether about the e-books or just wanting to share your own experience of life in Japan, I am looking forward to hearing from you!
My Story
"My Japanese Experience" was founded by Ruxandra, whose dream was to visit, live and study in Japan. She applied for the MEXT scholarship (monbukagakusho), was accepted into the program, and moved to Japan in 2009. There, she enjoyed her student life, making new friends, eating delicious Japanese food and travelling all over the country.
Applying for this scholarship was very troublesome and problematic. Thus, Ruxandra decided to write some books about it, sharing all the practical advice that would have made her application so much easier.
And so, "My Japanese Experience" was born with the hopes of sharing with you some practical tips to make your MEXT scholarship application smoother, but also to encourage you to follow your dream.
